Yeah, it's late, but I've just woke up after 5 hours of sleep. I laid down at 8:30 and woke up at 1:30. I think that I'll update Xanga and then go back to bed. So, I really don't have much to update since I didn't have much of an evening.
It looks like we might have some snow and other winter junk the next few days. I guess that it is that time of year again. I have a love-hate relationship with winter. Most of the time I don't mind the snow and the cold. I just get annoyed mainly with how people drive in the bad weather. Yeah, I know...I always get annoyed at how other people drive. Down here in Indy we really get so very little snow compared to back up north...but it might as well be 3 times as much. People down here want to continue driving the same speed in the rain/snow/ice, it doesn't matter to them. Up north the bulk of the people know to slow down or just stay off the damn roads.
Anyone see the news articles about the PA shooting/runaway/being caught in Indiana? I talked about it for a couple days and my prediction that the 14 year old girl wasn't as innocent as everyone thought was true. My how the whole situation has changed in a few short days. Last week on the two killers websites all these people were voicing how the guy was a good Christian and how the girl was a victim. Well, we now know so much differently about that.
The guy, Ludwig, has videos of himself and a friend preparing to do an armed invasion of a house. It was a video right on one of his laptops. Call me crazy, but most good Christian boys don't fantasize about storming into someone's house and shooting it up. They also don't say that they'll have to kill so-and-so because they are sleeping with a 14 year old girl.
After the dad tells Ludwig that he can no longer see his daughter he walks away, Ludwig shoots him in the back...then proceeds to shoot the mom while she sits in a chair. He then goes out in the car and the girl runs after him and announces "Lets get far away from here, get married, and start a new life". Poor little child doesn't have the first clue about anything. If she is not tried as an adult I'm going to be pissed.
Sorry all you supporters of these two...sometimes people do bad things. These two seemed a little whacked out. The parents of the girl were trying to do the right thing and clamping down on what their daughter was doing. I guess that old moniker of the dad cleaning his guns when the boy comes over isn't a bad idea. Are we to the point now where in a couple years when my son/daughter starts dating I'll have to worry about the little bastard shooting me?
Here is a question for ya....why is like 70% of all the dog toys out there squeaky? Seriously, do dogs like squeaking THAT much? Or rather, is it the humans that like the squeak? Thankfully, Amanda and I both dislike squeakiness, and always do the squeak test when we are shopping for toys. You would be surprised how hard it is to actually find squeak-free toys.
Speaking of our animals...the cats still don't know how to take Caden. Zoe (the fat cat) absolutely hates Caden...but she hates everyone except Amanda or me. Zoe treats Caden like she treats most humans...but a fast hiss and a punch. Thankfully she is declawed...otherwise Caden would probably have lost his eyesight. What is strange is that Caden is not the least bit scared of Zoe.
The other cat, Stormie, is a little better with Caden. She doesn't hiss at him, but she doesn't like him either. She'll often sit right outside of his reach and watch, and if he gets too close she'll give him a little punch, but pretty half-hearted. It really surprises me that she hasn't been willing to play with him...we both thought for sure that she would. Who knows...our damn cats never make any sense.
Ok, time to go to bed for the rest of the night now.
