Yeah, let me have it...I skipped a day! It's been a while since I didn't publish something on a day. My little 4 day break flew by, and I cannot believe that it is over already. Yes, my break is over, but that is ok. I'm not as rested as I would have liked, but oh well, we can't have everything now can we?

All break I thought of all this neat stuff that I wanted to write about, but of course I have since forgot all of it. I really need to start using the voice memo feature of my cell phone to keep little notes so that I can remember. It's always been one of my biggest problems in writing, that I forget all these great ideas. Whenever I'm doing something somewhat boring (work, driving, etc.) my brain is usually going about 100 mph and thinking about lots of other things...unfortunately I forget most of them.

I'll start with a little bit of an update of the last few days.

Friday: I had lunch with WS. After lunch we stopped by Best Buy and they actually had the video card that I was debating about buying in stock. I was pretty shocked, because it should have been sold out. Well, technically they were sold out, but someone (probably an employee) had stashed one behind another card. So, lucky for me...bad for them. I picked up a couple little gifts for Amanda there as well. After lunch and shopping Amanda and I headed to her house. We had debated about staying another night in Walkerton/South Bend, but we decided that we would just head out and go to Amanda's place.

We got to Kentland and went out to dinner. Dinner unfortunately wasn't that great. I had fish and I got some bones in it, so that totally killed the mood. Luckily the mozzarella stick were good so the meal wasn't a complete loss. After dinner we played the game Scattegories. It was the first time that I had played it and it wasn't too bad. I won one, and I think that Amanda won the second.

Saturday: Saturday went by really fast. We had breakfast at the truck stop and after that went to Susan's game. The game was ok...but Susan's coach is terrible. I've been around sports most of my life and I've seen all types of coaches, but she is the worse that I've ever seen. I've never seen a coach belittle and humiliate players before. The lady doesn't coach just yells when something goes wrong. It took her until halfway through the second quarter to wake up and she had quit by 1 minute into the 4th quarter.

See, the thing is...this lady played college basketball a few years ago, so the school corporation just assumes that she has this vast knowledge of the game. Yeah, that's not the case. Very rarely are good players good coaches, and this lady is no exception. I could just go on about this lady for a couple more pages, but it's not worth it...it's only like the 4th game of the year...and they'll be lots more to complain about before the season is over.

After the game we went to Amanda's dad house for dinner. We were there for a couple hours. Amanda wasn't feeling too hot so we didn't stay too long after dinner. She has came down with a really killer cold that is taking it's toll on her. Hopefully it stays away from me, but we'll find out!

Sunday: We woke up and went to breakfast before church. Church wasn't too bad today. After church Amanda headed to work and I met RG for lunch. He was home from OBC on pass for Thanksgiving so it was nice to see him. We had a pretty long lunch and parted ways. I came home and had one of those good lazy days that are all too few. I did clean up a little bit and even managed to cook dinner once Amanda came home. We watched a couple shows while we ate. After we were done eating I ironed as we watched TV. I went ahead and ironed all my dress shirts. I've never done "ironing" in the sense that you sit and do everything that needs to be ironed. I've always simply ironed as I needed an item. I figured that it might be worth a try to just iron a bunch all at once to make it more convenient for when I actually need to wear a shirt.

After TV/food/ironing I played around on the computer some more and am here now. Nothing too exciting. I'm pretty tired, I didn't get to sleep in any days, but that is ok.

This week should be pretty busy. I have drill this weekend to get ready for, so that means stuff to do. It's also the inevitable time of the year when there is shopping, cooking, and decorations. None of the three have been done yet, but maybe we can get one of those done this week. I think that we should be able to pull off our tree this week.

I also want to make some Christmas cookies. I didn't make any last year and I should have. I love Christmas cookies. What is everyone's favorite? I love buckeyes, you know those little chocolate dipped peanut butter balls? Yeah, those are mine. I'm not usually a big sweet eater, but I can eat those all day long. It's strange though...I love about anything made from peanut butter, but really could care less about peanut butter. There are a lot of people that love peanut butter...but it's just ok for me.

I need a haircut pretty bad. My hair is not long by any means, but it's long compared to how I usually have it. Since I need a haircut it means my gray hair is sticking out, and that needs fixed. A nice close cut is usually enough to hide the gray.

Speaking of hair...it is crazy when I look at old pictures of myself with a full head of hair! I couldn't imagine having as much hair on my head as I did for most of my life. That is crazy! I was a gel fiend back in the day! Now, it's nice and short and I don't have to put anything in my hair unless it gets long. I think that Amanda would like for me to have more hair, but oh well. She is happy as long as I don't have it cut so low that she can see scalp.

Oh, before I forget...here is a picture of my niece going airborne!

That's enough for now...remember the question of the day... What is your favorite Christmas cookie?
