Yes, it's Saturday and I'm at work. It's just about 3:30pm and I've been here for about an hour. I'm babysitting a software install on a couple of our servers, no big deal....at least it better not be. I'm hoping that thing will be wrapping up in the next 30minutes to an hour and then I can continue on with my weekend.
So far today has been a pretty good day...I really enjoy good Saturdays, they really make the whole weekend feel longer. I'm sure all of you have experienced sleeping in late on Saturday and on Sunday and whammo, you have wasted 10 of your 48 hours of weekend asleep.
Today, we started our day quite early for a Saturday. We had an appointment with another wedding florist. We decided that we would get another estimate since the last one totally blew our budget. This one was a little strange and had a weird velvet outfit with huge sleeves, it looked like she was wearing a curtain, but what the hell it was 8:20 on a Saturday morning so who cares.
We were able to get exactly what we wanted for the bridal party and all the other people that need flowers (like every damn person that I know it feels like!). We also got more for the wedding ceremony and some totally killer center pieces...all for about a almost a grand less than the other lady. I know a couple of my subscribers are getting married soon, if you want info on this lady, our cake lady, and other stuff shoot me an e-mail and we'll give you the info. We left the flower lady really happy with what we got. Well, at least I did. Amanda was in a pissy mood for some reason, probably because she had to get up early. You would have thought that she was going to be happy since I went to Susans game and the florist....even though I kind of wasn't planning to go to either one!
After the florist we stopped at Le Peeps to get some grub. I haven't ate there since June or July and it was good to go back. It was funny because the waiter remembered me AND what I wanted to eat. Amanda got a kick out of that. I guess that is what happens when you and a couple guys eat at the same restaurant 3-4 times a week for a year. I really enjoyed that last year...it was a blast, and I miss hanging out with my ROTC brothers.
After breakfast we went home. Amanda took a nap and I screwed around on the computer (slang for played computer games). Amanda woke up from her nap (was in a good mood after getting some more sleep) and we did a quick fix on the house before her dad came over. Right about the time that he got there I headed out the door to go to Fry's. I had to pick up some stuff for her mom's computer.
I went to Fry's and picked up all the stuff that she would need to transfer and burn her video to DVD's. I then came to work as everyone was leaving. I just wrapped up installing all the crap into Amanda's mom's computer....and now I'm just waiting for the install to finish. Should be done soon, or so I hope!
Tomorrow there is the Colts game and that's about it.
Well, I'm going to wrap this up and send an e-mail out to my Groomsmen about tuxes.
Oh, and check out this website: www.meebo.com .
